Name most favourable for yours prosperity and well being.

February 10, 2009

Dear friend,

In Indian Tradition there are two sets of techniques employed for naming a new born child.

(1) As per Avkahada chakra on the basis of moon sign or lagna

(2) On the basis of letters ruled by the most beneficially placed and functional benefic planet

The first method is most popular and simple.

Whereas the second method is a little laborious but effective in our own humble experience.

In my own family the name of my grandfather, mine as well as my two younger brothers..name were given either on the basis of yogakaraka planet or diectionally strong planets or on the basis of the Atmakaraka planet who are placed in the constellation /rasi/navamsa of yogakaraka houses.

A few years back the same was also confirmed during  a conversation with astrologer Bhaskar who was a member of the Jyotish Remedis  group in the net ( I can not say whether he is a member now). During discussion, he had asked me one question whether nameing according to the second method beneficial ? I had then replied that 'your name Bhaskar is ruled by Saturn who is yogakaraka for...

Longevity analysis through Indian astrology

February 3, 2009

Dear friends,

All who know basics of Indian astrology knows that longevity of a chart of prime factor without which detailed analysis of the horoscope is of not much usefulness.

The prevalent methods of longevity determination are the following:-

(1) The method of 3 pairs of lagnalord and 8th lord, lagna and horalagna , and the pair of saturn and moon depending upon their placement in movable sign (longlife), fixed sign(shortlife) and dual sign(middle life).

(2) The strengthe of lagna lord, 8th lord and 10th lord on the basis of their natural strength, placement and association. Kendra placement, freedom from debilition , affliction. combustion and placement in boarder of signs (also called rasi sandhi)

 (3) Strength of Lagna / Moon/ Sun,

strength of their rasi and navamsa lords

(4) The strength and placement of lagna/ 3rd/8th house

depending upon the planet occupying or aspecting them with rasi drishti

and the strength of lagna lord, 3rd lord and 8th lord

(5) The strength of lagna lord, 5th lord and 9th lord and their dispositors to see whether remedial measures will be successful to increase the longevity

(6) Another method is to note down the rasi placement of the...

Birth Time Rectification

February 3, 2009

Dear friends,

Most of the time we face a client asking for readings but not sure of the exact birth time. The birth time where the minute part seems to be appearing as multiple of  5 should be seen with doubt. Generally people round off 4 hours 13 minute to 4 hours 10 minute or 4 hours 15 minute.

In the cases of birth time recorded by doctors, the recorded birth time would be actual birth time plus 10 to 20 minutes. The reason is the first and foremost duty of the doctor is to see the saftey delivery of the baby, secure health condition to the mother and the newborn baby.  Therefore, whenever you see some affliction to the natal moon and 4th house from natal moon by conjunction, rashi drishti or graha drishti of the natural or functional malefic planets, be sure that the delivery had some complications and the birth time recorded is definitely few minutes plus the actual time of birth.(say 20 or 30 minutes in complicated cases, where the newborn baby has respiration problems after birth or the senseless mother did not gain her consciousness immediately after childbirth, the doctor busy attending to them.. and...

Rashi Tulya Amsa(RTA) and Amsa Tulya Rasi(ATR)

February 3, 2009

Dear friends,

All of us using jyotish now a days must be using various divisional charts for seeing specific aspect of a horoscope.

The jargon Amsa Tulya Rasi means  analysing natal positions of planets over the  specific divisional charts.

Say for example  professional life.

If I take my  Dasamsa Chart having Gemini rising in Rasi and Mars in it.  And my Dasamsa chart having scorpio rising.

I would take my gemini placed mars ...from rasi chart and place it in the same sign ... gemini in the  8th house over the Dasamsa  chart.

So the result would be for lagna lord mars placed in the 8th house in Dasamsa chart in its own sign.

Success in profession/business/service related to the fields signified by gemini plus 8th house, such as work of businessman/ research person / trouble shooter/ facilitator  in the field of  real estate development/ electrical and mechanical/ sanitary hardware/ insurance etc. etc.

If the signlord of gemini is weak ...there might be some sort of mis-communication or  simialar threats. However Lagna of Dasamsa being Mars itself protection would be assured in spite of all the problems.

All the astrologers do not prefer to use the principle of  ATR...

Mapping the timeline in a birthchart

April 2, 2008

Jyotisha ( the Indian System of Astrology) is envisaged as as a guiding light towards the abode of the ultimate Truth, the Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent  Principle of Consciousness and Bliss.

We are able to perceive the Truth within the limitation of our six senses and mind. We break up the continum of consciousness through our existential wisdom into three imaginary compartments of timelines- as the past, the present and the future.

Time Line:

The Lagna or Ascendant and its strength in a chart/ horoscope  shows the optimal scopes; available resources and ability as well as limitations of the individual in successful harnessing of that Omnipotent Principle of Consciousness and Bliss.

It is a accepted fact that lagna/ ascendant is linked to the instant of birth/childhood in a birth chart and in prasna to the present status of an individual in a prasna/ horary chart.

7th house refers to middle ages in a birth chart and the immediate future in a horary( prasna) chart.

12th house relates to one's family background in a birth chart and immediate past status in a horary chart.

9th house relates to one's accumulated beliefs and convictions in a birth chart whereas the same in a horary chart shows the...
